2025 Australian Government federal election asks - ANZCA priorities

ANZCA has called for the federal government and shadow government to consider and deliver on six priorities and calls for action as part of the 2025 federal election.
As one of the largest medical colleges in Australia and New Zealand, ANZCA and its members hold a privileged position of trust in society, and with this comes the responsibility to advocate on behalf of the healthcare needs of society more broadly. Setting and fostering the highest standards of clinical practice, safety and high-quality patient care is at the heart of everything we do, as well as our member base of over 10,000 specialists and specialists-in-training.
ANZCA has requested that the federal government and shadow government considers and delivers on the six priorities and calls for action identified in the attached document (above).
ANZCA values the strong and collaborative relationships it enjoys with relevant ministers, shadow ministers and Health Department staff, and has welcomed a meeting with the ministers and their staff to discuss these priority areas further.
