Zoe Merchant

Zoe is the AHP Clinical Lead for the HSJ award-winning Prehab4Cancer and recovery programme, the first UK-based region wide prehabilitation and rehabilitation service provided for people affected by cancer in the world. Her clinical background is as a complex rehabilitation specialist Occupational Therapist, having working in both physical and mental health settings, acute and community.
 
She is the co-chair of the Health Economics subgroup in the national prehabilitation guidance update (2024).

Zoe represents the Royal College of Occupational Therapists in national prehab discussions, speaking on behalf of the Community Rehabilitation Alliance, at the conservative party conference in 2021. She hosted a visit from HRH Princess Anne to the P4C service (2021) and appeared on the BBC1 promoting the benefits of exercise for people affected by cancer (2023). Zoe is an invited member of the Macmillan national AHP Expert Advisory Group.
