Professor Jane Andrews

Professor Jane Andrews is the Medical Lead of GI Services in CALHN Surgery Program with ongoing clinical work as a Senior Gastroenterologist at Royal Adelaide Hospital. She is a Clinical Professor at the School of Medicine at University of Adelaide and is the Board Chair of the IBD research charity Crohn’s Colitis Cure www.c-c-cure.org. 

Professor Andrews is an active researcher in many aspects of clinical Gastroenterology and a long clinical research interest and years of practical experience in IBD and functional gastrointestinal disorders, with an interest in clinical audit, models of care and healthcare system delivery.

She has worked over the course of her >25 years in Gastroenterology in public, private and research settings and has been an active participant in GESA activities throughout her career. She has authored >250 publications, 3 book chapters and supervised 10 completed PhD students. She has substantial experience with undergraduate & postgraduate medical education, mentorship & clinical leadership and senior medical management.
