FPM Queensland February Evening Meeting

Join us on Tuesday 18 February 2025 for the FPM Queensland February evening meeting.

We will be joined by guest speaker Marc Russo who will deliver a talk on Interventional pain medicine in a constrained environment. This meeting is proudly sponsored by Abbott. Invited speaker

Dr Mark Russo

Dr Mark Russo is a Specialist Pain Medicine Physician and established Australia's first multidisciplinary private pain clinic in 1999.

He is Director of Hunter Pain Specialists, Director of Hamilton Day Surgery, Co-Director of Innervate Pain Management Services, and Director/Principal Investigator of Geneses Research Services.

Mark is the founding president of the Neuromodulation Society of Australia and New Zealand (NSANZ), President of the International Neuromodulation Society (INS), Conjoint Associate Professor at the University of Newcastle NSW Australia, and an Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong.

Participating in continuing professional development by media such as hands-on experience, conferences, webinars, journal articles and involvement in medical and scientific advisory boards keeps him abreast of changes.

He serves on the Examination Committee, Professional Standards Committee, Research and Innovation Committee, and the Procedures Working Group for the Faculty of Pain Medicine (ANZCA).

Mark is a published author in the field of pain medicine and is a reviewer for the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). He has conducted several world-first spinal cord stimulator implants, including first-in-man pain and device studies. His passion is furthering the boundaries of pain medicine and teaching colleagues in state-of-the-art pain management, contributing to the collective knowledge of his peers.

Participants in the ANZCA and FPM CPD Program will automatically have their attendance auto-populated to their CPD portfolio within 14 days of the conclusion of the meeting.
