Associate Professor David Gyorki

Associate Professor David Gyorki is a consultant surgical oncologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, specialising in the management of patients with soft tissue sarcoma and melanoma. He is also the Research and Education Lead in Melanoma and Skin Cancer at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre.

David is heavily involved in research in both soft tissue sarcoma and melanoma. He is a board member of the Australia and New Zealand Sarcoma Association and chairs the international governance committee for a large prospective international registry of patients with retroperitoneal sarcoma. He is principal investigator in a MRFF funded clinical trial investigating the role of preoperative chemotherapy for sarcomas at high risk of relapse.
