Dr Rob McDougall is a Specialist Paediatric Anaesthetist and Director, Department of Anaesthesia & Pain Management, Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne. He is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne. Rob has a long-standing interest in the development of anaesthesia in low- and middle-income countries. He is currently a member of the Global Governance Council of Lifebox and an external examiner at Fiji National University. Rob is a former Senior Editor, Global Health Section of Anaesthesia & Analgesia and has completed an 8-year term on the Council of the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA). His clinical interests include anaesthesia for paediatric burns, craniofacial and general paediatric surgery.
