Dr Michelle Horne

Dr Michelle Horne is Chair of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA) in Victoria. She is an anaesthetist working in both the public and private sectors in Melbourne with interests in quality and safety in anaesthesia, culture in medicine, environmental stewardship and teaching. Dr Horne is a member of the ASA Board and Professional Issues Advisory Committee. Other representative roles include Deputy Convenor ASA National Scientific Congress 2023; Anaesthetic Representative on Victorian Department of Health Surgical Recovery and Reform Taskforce; Representative on Victorian Department of Health Anaesthetic and Medical Gases Working Group; member of ANZCA VRC and member of Paediatric, Obstetric and Airway Special Interest Groups at Northern Health. Previous roles include Education Officer ASA Victoria; Chair of the ASA Trainee Member Group; member of the ANZCA Victorian Trainee Committee and 2010 & 2016 ASA National Scientific Congress Organising Committees.
