Peter Howe began anaesthesia training in Darwin, where Hamish Holland and Ching-Woo Goh dragged him across the first part line. He completed his training at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, where he has been a staff anaesthetist since 2000. He is the clinical lead for maxillofacial, craniofacial and opthalmic anaesthesia and is on the editorial board of Pediatric Anesthesia. 

He has been the RCH supervisor of training for 25 years and has published on mentoring, orientation, professionalism and whether Neil Armstrong got his quote wrong. He spent much of last year training in clinical hypnosis. His youtube video 'Sats of 69' has been viewed more than 5000 times.
