Pain Management Pain Fellow Trainee

The Pain Fellow will provide compassionate evidence-based care of patients referred to FPMx, while using and learning the principles and practice of acute, chronic and cancer pain management. The Pain Fellow is expected to participate in patient care, educational, clinical research and quality assurance activities of FPMx. The trainee is expected to develop advanced skills to manage a wide variety of acute medical and surgical pain, persistent (chronic) pain, cancer related pain and pain with comorbid mental health, substance use and psychosocial problems. He/she will learn about the timing, indications, preparations, complications and technical skills (if desired) for pain related interventions. They will learn basic research skills and quality management in healthcare. The Pain Fellow will work with experienced Interventional Pain Specialists, be mentored in interdisciplinary care with education, medication, exercise and a wide range of procedures.
