Nominate a champion for NAD

“You’re in safe hands” is the theme for ANZCA’s 2024 National Anaesthesia Day on Wednesday 16 October.
This year we will again be celebrating anaesthesia and telling local communities about the critical role of anaesthetists in healthcare and patient safety.
Our campaign will focus on real people with real stories and allay the persistent misunderstanding amongst some in the community that anaesthetists are not doctors.
We hope that you will join us in celebrating National Anaesthesia Day by nominating a #NAD24 champion at your hospital or anaesthesia practice.
Champions may want to organise a hospital foyer display, hang posters, share their activities on social media or even organise a #NAD24 bake day.
ANZCA’s #NAD24 resources will this year include A3 and A4 posters (not A1 posters) that can be on display all year round, as well as video interviews with fellows across Australia and New Zealand and other digital resources you will be able to download and print from website.
As head of department we will send you a set of posters featuring individual anaesthetists. Champions will also receive a set but we can send more if requested, so please let us know.
What we would like from you:
- Nominate a champion to confirm your department’s interest in participating in #NAD24.
- Send your champion’s contact details and full postal address for delivery of posters to [email protected] or [email protected].
- Please email [email protected] or [email protected] to confirm your champion’s poster requests no later than Friday 30 August.
The #NAD24 posters will also be available on our website for you to download if you miss the deadline.
