Dr Pierre Bradley
Dr Pierre Bradley MBChB FANZCA is a past Chair of Airway Management Special Interest Group (ANZCA/ASA/NZSA) and divides his time between his public work at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and private practice. He is a senior lecturer in the Department of Perioperative Medicine, Monash University and on the executive of ANZCA Victorian Regional Council.
Originally from the UK, Pierre completed his undergraduate training at the University of Dundee before commencing General Physician training with interests in Acute Medicine, Cardiology and Endocrinology. To compliment his acute medicine skills, Pierre undertook further training in Emergency Medicine, Adult Flight Retrieval Medicine, Anaesthesia & Intensive Care. This gives him a firm understanding of the complexities of perioperative medicine and how it relates to the patient. Pierre's areas of sub-speciality interest are: neuro-anaesthesia, vascular anaesthesia, management of the high risk patient, airway management, trauma, education and risk mitigation amongst others.
Pierre is involved in airway management teaching having established and taught on many national and international courses. He is also involved in committee and advisory work, national standards development, research and development and is a British Journal of Anaesthesia article reviewer. Pierre is the current Airway lead for Victoria and Tasmania.
