Dr Heidi Omundsen

Dr Heidi Omundsen MBChB, FANZCA, MBHL, is a specialist anaesthetist working in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, where she has lived with her family for the past 11 years. Dr Omundsen has special interests in perioperative medicine, and service improvement. She holds a master’s degree in bioethics and health law (Otago) and has a long-standing interest in the process by which we share information with our patients and support decision-making. Outside of work she enjoys spending time in, on and around the ocean with her family and a large groodle called Astra.
