Geriatric oncologist

Dr Ranjana Srivastava is a geriatric oncologist, two-time Fulbright scholar and award-winning author of several acclaimed books. She is the winner of the Human Rights Literature Prize for her book on end-of-life care and a recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia for her contribution to doctor-patient communication. 

For over a decade, Ranjana has written a popular column for The Guardian newspaper on the intersection of medicine and humanity, which has made her a two-time finalist for The Walkley Award for Excellence in Journalism. 

Ranjana has been educated around the world including India, Australia, the UK and the US. 

She has a fellowship in medical ethics from the University of Chicago and a Master degree in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, where she now teaches a class on writing for the public. 

She is the mother of three teenaged children and one toddler dog.
