Professor Linda Denehy

Linda is Professor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne and has a joint appointment as Professor of Health Services Research: Allied Health at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. She is an experienced researcher with 6 NHMRC/MRFF grants as CI supporting randomised trials to study pre and rehabilitation. She is considered a world expert in rehabilitation being in the top 0.1% of scholars (Expertscape, 9/2020). Her research team (CanREX; supporting recovery and exercise) undertakes research predominately in patients with lung, blood, gynaecological and gastrointestinal cancers and currently the team are involved in several funded projects across different national hospital and community networks.

Linda has over 250 publications, presented over 50 invited presentations and has secured grant funding success of over A$21 million. She is also an experienced and passionate mentor with 41 post-doctoral completions, three current students and five post-doctoral fellows from four different allied health disciplines.
