Join us for National Pain Week 2024

16 July 2024

Chronic Pain Australia’s annual awareness event for chronic pain kicks off on 22 July.

National Pain Week is dedicated to improving chronic pain management in Australia through a series of education sessions, webinars, and advocacy efforts. Chronic pain often leads to a cycle of stigma, isolation, and mental health challenges. The Faculty of Pain Medicine proudly supports CPA in breaking that cycle and encouraging everyone to let their true colours shine through.

This year’s theme, “painchanger,” focuses on the experiences of those living with chronic pain and aims to reduce the barriers they face. It highlights the tools and services available to manage chronic pain, often described as ‘gamechangers’ by the community.

We are excited to announce that Associate Professor Mick Vagg (Director of Professional Affairs, FPM), will be participating in a webinar on Monday to kick off National Pain Week: “The state of pain: Unpacking the 2024 National Pain Survey,” a panel discussion that brings the latest data to life.
