26 September 2024

Do you love being a clinical educator? Do you enjoy facilitating effective learning? Do you know someone who does? Become an ANZCA Educators Program facilitator and empower clinical educators.

Our team of ANZCA Educators Program facilitators across Australia and New Zealand contribute to elevating how we educate as anaesthetists. We would love for you, or that specialist you have in mind to join us on our team. Be sure to share this news story with them!

The ANZCA Educators Program (AEP) is an interactive 1.5 day course designed by anaesthetists and education experts to equip anaesthetists and faculty of pain medicine specialists with the knowledge and skills to be competent clinical teachers. As an AEP facilitator you will work with a team of regional facilitators and our central team to deliver the ANZCA Educators Program locally in your region or via our online zoom program. This involves both the course and providing participants feedback on their post-course activities.

You will be a wonderful addition to the team if you:

  • are a clinical anaesthetist or pain specialist
  • have a commitment to lifelong learning and professional development
  • are dedicated to fostering a learner-centred learning environment

Selection criteria are as follows:

  • Current FANZCA, FFPM ANZCA or a comparable qualification acceptable to ANZCA Council (refer to Section 20.3 of the ANZCA Handbook for Training)
  • Demonstrate completion of the ANZCA Educators Program or relevant post-graduation qualification in education and participation in specific modules. (note: If you are interested in becoming a facilitator, we will work with you to fulfil this requirement if you have not yet completed the ANZCA Educators Program and are an ideal candidate).
