Withdrawing from an ANZCA exam
22 January 2025
Find out how to withdraw from the primary or final exams.
The primary and final written exams are approaching as is the deadline to withdraw from the exam. Any candidate can withdraw from the exam at any time during the exam period, but these withdrawals will incur a penalty unless the fee is waived on medical or compassionate grounds.
Penalties apply should you withdraw between the registration closing date and the withdrawal fee date. You will be refunded your registration fee minus the penalty fee. Should you withdraw between the withdrawal fee date and the written exam, you will not be refunded the registration fee. This can be considered or partial or full refunded on medical or compassionate grounds.
It is essential that you contact the primary exam or final exam team in writing as soon as you are aware you intend to withdraw and follow the advice given to you. It is important to note, that if you do not withdraw and are a NO SHOW at the written or viva exam, it would be counted as an attempt towards your total exam attempts.
