Regional committees assist with:
- Implementing college policy in their regions
- Advising ANZCA Council on issues of interest to the college and its fellows and trainees in the regions
- Representing the college and promoting the specialty in the regions
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key regional stakeholders
- Training, continuing medical education, and other professional activities at a regional level

ANZCA national and regional committees

The New Zealand National Committee (NZNC) is responsible for activities similar to those of the Australian regional committees but also represents the college in dealing with national agencies such as the Ministry of Health and the Medical Council of New Zealand.

The Australian Capital Territory Regional Committee is an elected body that acts as a conduit between fellows and trainees in the Australian Capital Territory region and the ANZCA Council to which they report.

The New South Wales Regional Committee is an elected body that act as a conduit between Fellows and trainees in the New South Wales region and the ANZCA Council to which they report.

The Queensland Regional Committee is an elected body that acts as a conduit between fellows and trainees in the Queensland region and the ANZCA Council to which they report.

The South Australian and Northern Territory Regional Committee is an elected body that acts as a conduit between fellows and trainees in the South Australian and Northern Territory regions and the ANZCA Council to which it reports.

The Tasmanian Regional Committee is an elected body that act as a conduit between fellows and trainees in the Tasmanian region and the ANZCA council to which they report.

The Victorian Regional Committee is an elected body that acts as a conduit between Fellows and trainees in the Victorian region and the ANZCA Council to which it reports.

The Western Australia Regional Committee is an elected body that acts as a conduit between fellows and trainees in Western Australia, and the ANZCA Council to which they report.

Expert committees who work with jurisdictional health authorities and health services. They analyse adverse event information related to anaesthesia, with the objective of recommending quality improvement initiatives.
