In July 2010, we established the Indigenous Health Committee to assess how we can support programs to improve Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and Māori health in Australia and New Zealand. Under it's direction we've undertaken a number of initiatives in an effort to:
- Improve clinical safety.
- Improve cultural safety.
- Attract and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Māori trainees and specialists.
- Advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Māori healt

The Professional Affairs Executive Committee (PAEC) reports to ANZCA Council on issues relevant or important to fellows of the college including fellowship engagement, policy, advocacy and community development.
The group's role is to develop, implement, and report on progress with ANZCA's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is responsible for the college's portfolios in Indigenous health in Australia and New Zealand.
