2024 AU ERAS+ World Congress of Prehab & Periop Medicine

In association with:

Welcome

We are delighted to invite you to the 2024 World Congress of Prehabilitation and Perioperative Medicine Conference, combined with the Australian ERAS+ conference. This event merges the essential fields of prehabilitation and enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) into a single, integrated platform covering the perioperative period. Our goal is to improve patient outcomes post-surgery by addressing modifiable risks through prehabilitation strategies and reducing clinical care variability through ERAS principles.

The program features plenary lectures, pro/con debates, and breakout sessions designed for interactive learning and exchange. Additionally, we offer primer workshops on cardiopulmonary exercise testing and implementing an ERAS program, along with masterclasses on setting up a prehabilitation program, prehabilitation strategies involving exercise, nutrition, psychology, and digital strategies for scaling prehabilitation implementation.

You will have the opportunity to hear from expert speakers from around the globe as well as renowned local experts, including clinicians and healthcare administrators. Please visit the speakers' pages to view the full line-up of speakers from Australia, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Italy, Singapore, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Registrations are now open

We encourage perioperative clinicians, anaesthetists, allied health practitioners, surgeons, nurses, administrators, and anyone interested in improving surgical outcomes through prehabilitation, ERAS, and perioperative medicine to register for the congress.

Sustainability

We’re committed to reducing the environmental impact of the conference. We are incorporating a holistic approach that includes but is not restricted to, areas such as reducing written materials and reducing the use of plastics and nonbiodegradable materials.

At the meeting, we will utilise digital signage where possible. If printed signage is required, we ensure it is printed on material that is or can be recycled.

The conference name tags, bamboo lanyards including the metal fasteners, will be recycled.

We will work with the healthcare industry exhibitors and sponsors to reduce their environmental impact – including eliminating single use flyers, brochures and signage and recycling all packaging where possible and consider what they as a company are bringing into the venue. We also request they take all items and material back to their office.
