The sole criterion for this award is a major contribution by a fellow to the status of anaesthesia, intensive care, pain medicine or related specialties.
A “major contribution” by a fellow is defined as distinguishing themselves in a manner that rendered their contribution conspicuous among their peers. They must be recognised at national and regional levels.
Eligibility for this award is limited to current and retired fellows of the college.
Nominations for 2024 are now closed.
Nominations may be made by three fellows of the college and be completed using the online nomination form along with a supporting nomination letter from each nominating fellow. Nominations will be marked as private and confidential.
Following adjudication and review by the Awards Advisory Panel, nominees will be presented to Council for decision. Recipients will be notified by phone within seven days of the Council meeting. The award will be presented at the College Ceremony as part of the Annual Scientific Meeting in May the following year.
