Through Learn@ANZCA, we offer a wide range of free online courses and resources to support the personal and professional development of our fellows and trainees.

Effective Management of Anaesthetic Crises (EMAC) is a simulation-based course focused on managing anaesthetic emergencies. It consists of five modules, run over two and a half days, and is a compulsory requirement of the anaesthesia training program.

We strongly encourage all new trainees to attend this free, one-day orientation training. It covers everything you need to know about training to be a specialist anaesthetist, and it's a great opportunity to meet other registrars in your local training cohort.

We strongly encourage all trainees preparing for the ANZCA final exam to take advantage of the refresher courses and mock vivas we run in major centres around Australia and New Zealand.

The centralised trainee tutorial program is an exciting initiative introduced in 2021 to provide all pain medicine trainees with access to a formalised teaching program and regular opportunities to engage with other trainees.

Our clinical skills courses and trainee tutorial program are designed to support pain medicine trainees.

These describe the roles of a specialist anaesthetist and specialist pain medicine physician and how they apply to contemporary practice – includes scholar role and communicator role.

Better Pain Management is a professional, high quality online education program developed by the Faculty of Pain Medicine. 

This hub has been designed for trainees and educators participating in the ANZCA, FPM, RGA and DHM training programs to identify suitable training and education resources, and includes program-specific guides and online access to the Primary Exam reading list and ETA reference readings.
